The Cartographic Collection of the National Library of Serbia is remarkably diverse, not just in content, purpose and size, but also in the various methods used to create and present cartographic publications. The Collection boasts around 35,000 maps showcasing the region of the South Slavic countries, Southern and Southeastern Europe.

Old and rare maps, antique atlases and manuscript maps hold distinct cultural and historical value, forming a special category within each collection. Due to their exceptional historical, documentary and graphic worth, they require specific attention, treatment, registration and storage.
